Yes, CareWay can be used for telemedicine consultations, whether it is by phone or by videoconference.
CareWay can be used in telemedicine in the following ways:

Using Speakers to Record the Consultation
- Turn on the speaker on your device (computer or phone).
- In CareWay, select the appropriate microphone to capture the sound.
Using an Audio Mixing Software to Record the Consultation
To easily record conversations made using earphones or a telephone headset, it is necessary to install a third-party software provided by Logitech: MIXLINE.
Step 1 – Download and install the MIXLINE software
- Follow this link to download it from the Logitech website: Logitech MIXLINE Download.
- Start the installation on your computer.
Administrator access is required to install the MIXLINE software. If the installation is blocked on your computer, contact your IT team to obtain permission to install the software.
Step 2 - Launch and configure the software
- Open MIXLINE and begin the configuration.
- On the left (1), add the sound inputs. On the right (2), add the sound outputs.
- Click on the input dropdown menu to choose the listening device you are using, for example, your headphones.
- Next, add the browser that will be used for your teleconsultations, for example, Google Chrome with Meet or Teams.
- Do the same on the right side for the outputs. Add your listening device and the new source called MIXLINE Stream.
- Connect the inputs to the MIXLINE Stream output.
- Click on the icon
located under each device you add.

Step 3 – Record the consultation in CareWay
- Start a new consultation in CareWay or in MYLE using the AI assistant.
- Select the MIXLINE Stream microphone.
The MIXLINE application must be active in order to function properly.
Using a Telephone Adapter to Record the Consultation
To easily record conversations made over the phone, it is necessary to connect a telephone adapter between your landline phone and your computer.
Step 1 – Connect the adapter to your phone
- Unplug the handset from your phone (the coiled cord that connects the handset to the base of the phone).
- Plug the handset cable into the appropriate port on the VEC LRX-45USB adapter.
- Take the cable provided with the VEC LRX-45USB adapter and plug one end into the port where you removed the handset from your phone.
Step 2 – Connect the adapter to your computer
- Take the USB A-B cable (the cable with one square end and one flat/rectangular end).
- Plug the square end of the USB cable into the corresponding port on the VEC LRX-45USB adapter.
- Plug the flat/rectangular end of the USB cable into an available USB port on your computer.
Step 3 – Verify installation on Windows
- Windows should automatically detect the new device and install the necessary generic drivers. You should hear a sound indicating that a new device has been connected.

Look for the Sound, video and game controllers section. You should see a device named USB PnP Audio Device (or similar).

- Launch Windows Voice Recorder and make a test call to ensure the sound is being recorded. The LRX-45USB also has a recording level dial to adjust the call audio volume.
Handset compatibility selector: The LRX-45USB includes a selector to match different handset wiring configurations. If you experience sound issues, try adjusting this switch.
Audio quality: The adapter is designed for digital audio quality and features automatic gain control.
Troubleshooting: If the device is not recognized, try plugging it into another USB port on your computer. Restart your computer if necessary.
Step 4 – Record the consultation in CareWay
- Start a new consultation in CareWay or in MYLE using the AI assistant.
